Anthony Garcia, also known as the "Omaha serial killer", is a convicted murderer who killed four people in Omaha, Nebraska, between 2008 and 2013. Garcia was arrested and charged in March 2014 after DNA evidence linked him to the murders. The victims of the killings were Thomas Hunter, Shirlee Sherman, and Roger and Mary Brumback. Garcia had a motive to kill the Brumbacks as they had fired him from his job at the Creighton University School of Medicine in 2001. Garcia was convicted of all four murders and was sentenced to death in 2016. His case is currently on appeal.
